Sit Less, Move More

Health Tip: Elevated fats in the blood increases the risk for cardiovascular disease. Sitting for extended periods of time interrupts adequate deposits of blood fats into the body. Researchers observed that too much inactivity throughout the day impairs the cardiovascular system’s ability to properly regulate blood pressure and healthy cholesterol levels. Our bodies are created to move, so just as you schedule other things of importance, don’t forget to pencil in regular sessions of physical activity. Getting at least 30 minutes of moderate activity on a daily basis is key to lowering one’s risk of cardiovascular disease and other causes of mortality.
